A few of my favorite accessories at the moment. The bracelet was inspired by the DIY genius Ivania of Love Aesthetics. A bit of a strange piece but I love in none-the-less. The Ksubi sunglasses were another one of my recent eBay purchases. I think I've officially become a sunglasses junkie. I can't help it! The hat was purchased on a recent trip to Copenhagen at Wood Wood which had an incredible collection of designers. Comme, Kenzo, Opening Ceremony. Beautiful stuff. Couldn't leave there empty handed.

It's no secret that I'm a long time fan of Jeremy Scott. Last season my love for him multiplied x 1,000,000 when he presented an internet inspired collection. I mean, seriously? There is literally nothing else I can imagine that would be more up my ally. Owning something from the collection wasn't an option, it was a must. On a recent trip to Montreal I made a visit to the Adidas Originals store and found this shirt from his collaboration line with the brand. I can't think of any other designer who could design a rainbow print keyboard shirt and present it to the masses with a huge company like Adidas. That's what I love about him. Fearless design that's unapologetic. And while I've got you, why not give the Jeremy Scott x Adidas Originals video a look. So into it.
So Jeremy, keep doing what you're doing and I'll keep following.

I've been living in this XXXL ladies plaid shorts for the past two weeks. They seem to go with everything, plus every time I wear them they are mistaken for a kilt at least once. Obviously I love that.
These bad boys are the newest addition to my sunglasses collection. I figured I wanted to go with a biiiit of a different shape than I'm used to and I quite like them! Plus they were mega discounted (something like 70% off with free shipping) so you can't really beat that, now can you?
Hope everyone is enjoying spring! Our weather has been crap here but I'm sure it'll turn around soon. I'm ready for short-shorts! (only half kidding...)

Sometimes the most unexpected pieces become staples in your wardrobe. An electric yellow leather detachable collar seems like something that wouldn't integrate into your closet, but it just works perfectly. Same goes for the faceless watch. I've blogged about it on here years ago and it always manages to make its way back onto my wrist. As for the bag? If you follow me on Twitter you may have heard me mentioning DIYing a bag which ended up stinking. Oooooooh, the troubles of secondhand fabric. Well, this is the infamous stinky bag. I DIYed a much larger version a few months ago but I figured it might be nice in a smaller size. Guess I'll have to Fabreze it to death and hope that helps.
The music is simple. A nice, feel-good song for the spring. It's been on my iPod for months but it finally seems appropriate to listen to. Makes me get excited for drinks on patios and poolside cocktails. Or just drinking in a back ally on a summer evening. Basically I'm just ready for warm weather & the inevitable drinking it will bring.

DIY: Hat Dyeing

I found this blue hat at a thrift store and fell in love with the shape/fit, but I hated the color. I wasn't sure if dyeing it was a bad idea or not but I figured it was worth a shot. Here's a quick overview of how I did it in case anyone wants to try.

What you'll need: a hat made of natural fibers, Rit fabric dye, rubber gloves, and a bucket large enough to fit the hat comfortably.

My hat was wool felt so I made sure use water that wasn't too warm. I left it completely emerged in the water for about half an hour, making sure that the shape wasn't being compromised.

When you take it out to dry, it's important to make sure it's in the proper shape. It will probably take a long time to dry. I left mine out for about 48 hours making sure it was completely dry.

It turned out this really great gray/purple color. I really, really love it.

I finally put proper laces on my Docs. I took the fringe (along with the laces) off another boot but I think it looks pretty good like that!I should mention, those are the Cheap Monday jeans I got for free at Urban Outfitters!

stuff

To start: I was looking at Alexander Wang backpacks and basically foaming at the mouth. I've wanted a nice leather bag for a while now, but haven't been having much luck thrifting. I decided to check on Ebay last night and was lucky. I got this guy for $4.35 + $1.50 shipping. $6.85?! I'm not complaining. God knows how slow the shipping will be for $1.50, but I will wait patiently for that price.

A catch I picked up at Value Village today. Poor girl's parents discarded her beautiful ballet photo. Me and Emma named her Crystal. Say hello to Crystal. She is very special and will fit in well with the rest of my randomly collected crap.

On a side note, I saw Frank of the Postsecret fame do a talk today. I wrote about how terrible he was but it was way tl;dr and I didn't want to bore you guys. To sum it up, he was pretty self indulgent and pretentious, in my opinion. He had nothing valuable to say and he should just leave the postcards to speak for themselves.
