Jumanji pants

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't posted in a while, it seems like I've been going non-stop for the last week. Thought I would share a quick DIY project I've been working on for a little while now. I've wanted a pair of jodhpurs for God knows how long but haven't really come across a pair I liked, so I thought I would try making my own. These were just a regular pair of cargo pants I picked up at a thrift store and I sewed them super super tight at the bottom all the way to the pocket. A quick, easy and cheap DIY and they came out just the way I wanted them. Take a look!!

Any time I put them on my mind immediately goes to Jumanji. Not sure why, probably the poacher. Still deciding how I want to wear them, any suggestions?

Also, I haven't really been keeping up with fashion week (I'm the worst!!) but the one show I'm DYING over is Juun J Fall 2010. Here's a few of my favorite looks.

X-Mas Came Early!

My Revolve Clothing order came in!!!!
My Filippa K cropped pants! I'm really, really liking them! I was a little concerned about the European sizing (first time dealing with it on pants) but luckily I was successful.
My Sneaker Steve shoes. I had a pair of Zara shoes I bought when I was in Italy so I knew my European shoe size. They fit like a glove, super comfortable too.
And an early Christmas present from Jenny! Thanks, girl.

My next project that I likely won't finish:
Sheer pants. Even if I finish them I probably wouldn't ever wear them, especially since winter has begin. I saw this photo earlier today and liked the idea but skimmed right past. Later, in my pattern drafting class, my teacher brought a suitcase full of fabric that was given to her that she didn't want. In it, blue sheer material. Quite obviously a sign, wouldn't you agree?
Progress on that to come in the next year or so, judging by my terrible procrastination issues.  I'd like to make a pair of drop crotch pants, too. Here's hoping!
