Bombs Away

Bomber Jacket - Brag Vintage / Jeans - Rick Owens DRKSHDW / Rings - Ebay (Wholesale)

If any of you follow my posts at MTV Fora you may have seen my post looking for the perfect bomber jacket. I held off until I truly found the perfect one... and I think I just did. When I saw this one I knew it was right. Just big enough, the right shape on the back, I loved it. We've luckily been having a mild fall here (which I'm loving) but it's about time I pull this bad boy out. And while I've got you... I've never been one to accessorize much, but ever since I got these rings they barely leave my fingers. I bought a wholesale lot of 30 rings in various sizes, so I have at least one for each finger. Cost efficient way to achieve the multi finger ring look. You know me, always thrifty!

zip zip

I first saw a jacket like this on one of my favorite blogs, Love Aesthetics, and it was love at first sight. I planned on making one for a while, but couldn't find a zipper long enough for the life of me. I finally decided to just cut my loses and do it with the longest zipper I could find. Considering I would probably always wear it this open regardless, I don't hate the way it turned out. It's a really easy DIY if you're comfortable with a sewing machine. It only took be about an hour to do!

And while I have your attention here's my quick two cents about menswear fashion week. All I've got to say is; daaammn I need a good wide brimmed hat!

Quick DIY!

I had some leftovers from the DIY studded vest I made almost a year ago, so I decided to put them on my vintage military jacket. I almost didn't buy this jacket when I found it at Goodwill for only $6 but decided to buy it just in case. It sat in my basement for months and finally decided to break it out this fall. Winnipeg doesn't usually get much of an autumn so I was thrilled when I got to wear this jacket for longer than just a week. The weather is still pretty good considering it's November, so here's hoping I'll get a few more weeks with this guy... Especially since it's now freshly studded! I'm also thrilled to announce I've really caught onto a quicker technique to studding. This took about the duration of 1 Golden Girls episode and a 1/2 episode of The Nanny.

Hair, Hair, Everywhere!

Here's a few more shots from the shoot I did a while back with my pal Bri Foster. The incredible hair jacket is made by her. The minute I saw it I knew I had to wear it. It's the reason we put together the entire shoot. Sorry it took so long to finally get these ones on here, but better late than never.
Be sure to check out Bri's website. Girl is up to some amazing stuff.
